59-0817 Gibson (used, 1925) RB-3 Flathead five-string conversion

#8204-3, from TB-3 Ball Bearing Mastertone tenor, in very good condition with newer black imported hard shell case.
The way it is presently set-up this banjo has a newer maple resonator – however it comes with the original worn resonator as well. The back of the resonator that’s on the five-string conversion is highly figured maple, which is not the standard wood on a TB-3. Since the person who made the replacement neck made it in flame maple he probably figured “what the heck, let’s replace the resonator.”
Our Discount Price is $5,670.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $5,500.00.

59-0771 Gibson (used, 1994) RB-4

#9442-22, urled walnut resonator, straight-grained walnut neck, in a Gibson USA flattop hard shell case, some of whose white stitching is torn.
This banjo conforms to the standard description of a previously owned, recently made, Gibson RB-4, having the “flying eagle” mother of pearl fingerboard inlay pattern and the double-cut headstock design inlaid in mother of pearl that has turned a golden hue with the “Gibson” script logo and a series of 9 pearl decorations whose designs can only be referred to as “squids and things.”
Our Discount Price is $4,119.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $3,995.00.

59-0819 Gibson (used, 1994) Mastertone Granada five-string

#9486-23, excellent minus condition, with original hard shell case.
This is, in keeping with the standard description of this Nashville-made model, a recreation of the prewar version – except that most prewar examples were archtop or ball bearing tone ring-equipped and this is a flathead. If this were an actual prewar flathead five-string Granada it would probably sell for $200,000. Yow. But luckily this is a replica, housed in a Gibson logo black flattop hard shell case missing the tab on the pocket.
Our Discount Price is $4,118.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $3,995.00.

59-0773 Top Tension (used, 1995) RB-18 Style 5-String Resonator Banjo

#ISI-1919, a non-standard interpretation of a prewar idea, gold-plated and fancy, with newer Canadian-made hard shell case.
This could be called an RB-18 type model. This version has a Burled Walnut resonator and a three-piece walnut neck (with a center stripe of what might be ebony). Top Tension RB-12 style banjo, walnut neck. The interior rim is finished in black. There is no label and no serial number. Being an RB-18 this is gold-plated and heavily engraved. It is fitted with a sliding 5th string capo and twin gold-plated Keith Banjo De-Tuners on the 2nd and 3rd strings. The other two headstock tuners are Five Star Planetary, and the fifth string peg is likewise Planetary and geared.
Our Discount Price is $5,639.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $4,500.00.

59-0818 Gibson (used, 1995) Mastertone “Presentation” model five-string

#9554-11, in excellent condition with black arched top hard shell case.
One of the most ornate recently- made banjos as we have recently seen, this was made with complex floral style engraving on stretcher band (both the vertical part on the side and the top surface), armrest, on the flat, unsigned (Kirschner type) tailpiece, the tone ring (as seen from the side), and the flange. At the penultimate fret, instead of saying “Mastertone” it is engraved “Presentation.”
Our Discount Price is $6,700.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $6,500.00.

59-0724 Huber Banjos (new) Artist: Chris Pandolfi

#60939, with hard shell case.
Chris Pandolfi of The Infamous Stringdusters is one of the bright lights in modern, 3 finger banjo, and his signature model Huber banjo reflects his unique style. It is made with a mahogany neck and resonator, and a mahogany rim as well. Chris feels that this rim offers a mellower tone with a wider dynamic range, even when set up like a typical bluegrass banjo.
Our Discount Price is $4,425.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $4,292.00.

59-0691 Gibson (used, 1967) RB-250 “Bowtie”

#010748, inlay Mastertone flathead 5-string resonator banjo, in very good condition, hard shell case to be provided.
This one-piece flange banjo bears serial number #010748 stamped into on the back of its headstock, with an impressed serial number on the inside of the pot that reads 7080-104. There is a possibility that this banjo may be comprised of an earlier (maybe even late 1950s) pot with a 1967 neck. The tone ring is 20-hole flathead; we cannot say with certainty that this was the original tone ring from the pot; we tend to think it is not.
Our Discount Price is $2,835.00 and Our Cash Discount Price is $2,750.00.

59-0252 Huber Banjos (new) Roanoke 5-String

#110887, with hard shell plush-lined case.
Our brand new Huber Roanoke combines a slightly more ornate peghead overlay with the rich color of walnut and the simplicity of a nickel plated banjo. The striking, highly-figured burl walnut resonator with its contrasting inlaid wood rings makes for an instrument that is as much a treat for the eyes as it is the ears, the nose and the lungs.  Both the straight grain walnut neck and the resonator are stained a natural walnut finish, and the neck, which is inlaid with the original Huber pattern, is bound in white/black/white purfling which adds a delightful visual touch.
